We have experienced many issues with our Wildcat since new. Mostly small stuff that either our dealer resolved under warranty or I fixed while on the road. I am beginning to be annoyed about all these problems even though most are small. Now the black water valve leaks and every time I connect the sewer hose I get about 1/2 gallon of the good stuff coming out the discharge pipe before I can connect the sewer hose. The neighbors in the campground are not impressed! I don't consider this a minor issue.
We are going to Goshen this year and I will need to change my service request as a result of new issues since we departed NC on June 11.
We love the Wildcat and really hope that the maintenance issues come to a stop.

That Stinks!!

Slave valves are prone to leakage by design. All it takes is a slight build up of gunk to not allow the slave to seat tight in the slot. Could be a soap build up, toilet paper or......well you get the idea. I have had this problem on a $500,000 diesel pusher as well as a sub $8,500 towable. My solution was to shop Amazon. I picked up a secondary slave valve that attaches at the point where you would hook your sewer line to. It allows me to have dual slaves and no leakage when I go to hook up. I leave it in place while we travel.

Take a look here at the link,

We travel to Phoenix today. I have an RV Service company coming to the RV Park tomorrow to do just that, add another gate valve at the end of the discharge pipe. Couple hundred dollars no doubt, but problem will be solved.

Got mine on Amazon for about fifteen bucks and installed myself in about 10 seconds.

So.... The RV service company was clueless. He arrived with a valve that was two feet long and six inches in diameter. Sent him down the road.

I went to Camping World and purchased a twist on valve for about $25.00 and 15 minutes later problem solved.

Thanks for the input.
