Wildcat Water Heater Question

Was looking at a Wildcat the other day and noticed that there is only one on/off switch for the water heater on the main switch panel. It has a gas/electric water heater, and I'm used to there being 2 switches, one for gas, one for electric...

How do you choose between gas & electric? The sales person didn't know.

Thanks,
--Paul

The switches inside on the panel are for LP. To operate the hot water heater on electric you need to remove the panel door on the outside of the trailer that covers the HW tank. There is a black toggle switch located near the bottom left of the heater. It may even have a piece of tape across it. Before you throw that switch to the on position make sure you have water in the HW tank or within seconds the heater element will be toast.

Don't think he needs to go to all the trouble of removing the door, just opening it should suffice.

that dealership should be ashamed of themselves for not being able to inform a customer about such a basic RV item.
and also the salesman for not knowing such a basic thing.

I'd need to be wearing panties to get them in a wad. Can't wait to meet you at Goshen along with all the others on this site.

To their defense, it was a quick visit, and the salesman did know about the switch outside, but was also used to seeing a switch inside (like I am), they offered to find out for sure, but I figured I could get the answer quicker...

My Black toggle switch has a small clip pin in it as a safety
