2013 Wildwood 272BH

Hey all! First post, I’d love to hear some advice on a potential purchase for our family. We currently own an older Kodiak Hybrid and have enjoyed it a few seasons. Frankly, we hate the pop out bunk and now with a 3 and 2 year old, we could use a bit more space!

A coworker has a 2013 Heritage Glen 272BH for sale. It’s clean, “fully loaded” according to him, and the wife and I like the floor plan. It’s a tad bit longer and heavier than our current Kodiak but my 2018 F-150 has the max tow package AND heavy duty payload package (2333lb payload / 12500lb tow) so the 272 is right in our wheel house.

Does anyone have any experience with this model? More importantly, what’s the value of a unit like this? I realize value is tough but the only thing I’ve found is blue book of roughly $16000 and with new trailers going for a few bucks more, I realize bluebook isn’t accurate. I also see many retailers knock 10k off he msrp without even negotiating, so Id love to hear some opinions.

Thanks!

Go to NADA RV.
DON'T add value for things that are standard or so-called "forced options".
Like oven, a/c, stereo, water heater, furnace and so on.
You can add value for true options, like upgraded a/c or slidetoppers.

Thanks. I checked NADA already and it shows roughly $16000 for a “low retail” number, which I presume to mean retail from a dealership.

The other part about pricing is that Forest River sells comprobably equipped trailers, brand new, for roughly 18-20k. All the things about the 6 year old heritage glenn that made it expensive seems to all be standard issue now, like LED lighting, HVAC, power awning/jacks etc. I just don’t see the NADA value in it compared to new models? Unless I’m missing something...?

Thanks!

Just saw this post. I have a '13 272BH. Im neutral on it after owning 5yrs now.
No major issues, just a few hiccups. Not minor, but not major.

Slide timing went out a few times. Easy'ish to reset though.
The bracket for the gear drive motor in the wall is broken, and not worth fixing.
Had some wiring issues inside, the water level monitor wasn't getting power. Bit of a chore to dig it all out and fix it.
Have to keep on top of the seams where the nose cone, roof and walls meet. LOTS of roofing goop, whatever its called.
Walls above the big storage doors are delaminating a bit (to me), about the size of a basketball.

No LPG, light, plumbing issues (that weren't self induced).
Stab jacks all work, as does the remote control. Water pump, HWT etc.

Ive swapped out many light bulbs to LED, so battery life is better.

It does pull heavy, as its pretty tall, especially compared to my truck.
