2014 DBUD Bunk Bed Mattress Ideas

We’re first time RV owners. We would like to upgrade the mattresses on our bunk beds in our 2014 DBUD. The mattresses that came standard are the thin brown ones. Can anyone share their ideas or suggestions regarding improving these bunk mattresses for more comfort without breaking the bank? We’ve got adult family who will be using these, so we would like them to have a more comfortable spot to sleep. Any advice or ideas is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

We took a King size 3 inch memory foam mattress topper and cut it in half. The pieces stack right on top of the existing brown mattresses. My adult size 18 year old son and 14 year old daughter find the bunks to be much better now.

Yup....a thick memory foam topper and a fitted sheet will change things for the better.

Depends on how you define 'breaking the bank'.

Measure twice because these bunks are not stock sizes.

Our mattresses cratered from overuse (and heavy people) so we got the 33" size of these

Thanks so much for all of your replies!!! We finally found (2) 4” thick foam mattresses at a local mattresses store for a very reasonable price. They are regular twin size and fit perfectly in the bunks with a little room to spare. We used them this weekend and our older children slept well! Thanks again for your ideas that were very helpful! We did add a mattress topper to them too!!
