2018 Wildwood X-Lite - any changes?

Answering my own question on this one. I wrote to Forest River/Wildwood asking about any changes in the 2018 models over 2017. Answer I received is below:

Quote:
The changes for the 2018 X-Lite will be mostly cosmetic to the interior, nothing major. There will be a price increase on the new models, due to materials. It would probably advantageous for you to purchase a 2017 due to the price.* Thank you for your interest in the Wildwood product.* Regards,* Joe Walsh, Wildwood division
Not sure if this holds for the larger Wildwood brand, but there it is, for what it's worth. In my case a 2018 X-Lite from RVW was cheaper than any 2017 I could find nationwide, so I'm just going to be content with the newer model.

Purchased a 2018 Wildwood X-Lite 201BHXL back in August 2017

One difference between the 2017 & 2018 is they raised the height of the bathroom vanity, which is great since I’m 6’1” the only problem is they did not raise the medicine cabinet above it so it’s a little difficult to use the sink.

I’d like to raise the cabinet 2-3 inches, but have no idea where the studs are inside the back wall?

We purchased a 2018 273QBXL a month ago. Like the available room, but quality control was evidently very poor during construction. Dealer had it marked down from $31k list to $19k.

Still fixin stuff

I don’t think they have a quality control program.

The cables for my stabilizer jacks fell, so I fix using zip ties.

The shower head fell off the wall, they use 1 inch pan head screws without any type of anchors, I fixed that applied a ½ inch x 2 inch x 24 inch piece of white poly cutting board. Mounted shower head and two chrome baskets for soap and shampoos.

Change cabinet hinges, so pantry door opens wider.

The plastic drain line for the gas refrigerator so tied into a knot. Frig worked fine after that.

Can’t wait to fine other things to fix / repair
