26DDSS Tires

Please help. I purchased a new 2011 Wildwood 26DDSS 5'r last year. We might have put on 3000 miles and now I am shopping for new tires. The tires are Trail Express ST205 75D15 LR-C pieces of S!#%. The side walls are cracked & inner/outer tread of tires are smooth just like they were under inflated or overloaded. I maintained correct tire psi of 50 and increasing as tires wore out. Is this common or are these tires just that bad. I know if you base the tires on the warranty Forest River offers these tires wouldn't even be good enough to burn for heat. According to the specs. the GVWR is 8238 LB. Trailer has 2-3500lb. axles which is 7000 lbs. & the tires are rated at 1820x2=3640 per axle. It seems like the tires are under rated. I know a percentage of weight goes on the hitch, but should't the tires be rated a certain percentage over the GVWR? I can't afford new tires every year so what would be a good recomendation. Seems like my most afforadable option is 8ply tires and hope they wear good and the rim handles the extra psi. Any info. would help. Thanks & great site.

Are yours Bias Ply? I've got a 2012 Salem with 2000 miles on the 205 75 15's bias ply tires and they are shot. The Trailer purchased in the states is now in Canada where the Forest River Dealer won't touch it because we purchased it elsewhere. The Forest River Salem Warranty rep urges radials. I need 5 in total.

I would look at Good Year Marathons. They are a C rating and 6 ply. Tire Rack has them for 100 a piece plus 70 some odd dollars for shipping but there are a few on EBAY with free shipping for a couple dollars more per tire. If you could go to a 225 75 15 Good Year steps up to an 8 ply. If your old ones are bias ply you will have to change your spare as well and may as well have them balanced at the same time.

Yes, maybe no one jumped immediately to your aid, but that is probably because the tire issue has been discussed at great length, and people are tired of responding to the same question over and over and over again.
Do a simple search about tires, and you will get lots of info, or is that too much work?
JFYI, I replaced my tires with Maxxis, as they seem to be the only maker with no complaints.

Personally, I wasn't offended by the second commment, I've been there hoping for an answer or guidance to assist my problems. I've personally been looking for the link to start a new topic but can't find it. But then again I hide my own easter eggs and can't find them either.

Where did you get them? and cost. Ply and load ratings?
Any reason these over the Good Years?

I believe all Goodyear trailer tires are now made in China, 'nuff said.
While the Maxxis are still made overseas, they simply are not getting any complaints, and my local tire shop has sold a lot of them. And they are not made in China!
My Flagstaff came with load range 'C' tires, which are barely adequate for the load. So I stepped up to 'D' range. They were about $130 if I remember correctly. I also had them bead balanced and I put in steel valve stems while I was at it, as I am using stem-mounted tire pressure monitors.
