28DBUD Tongue Weight

Ever wondered why our 30 foot trailers have an 805 lb Tongue weight? At least my 2015 does. I see bigger and heavier trailers all the time with a lighter tongue weight.

Tongue weight is a good thing, not a bad thing. Makes the trailer more stable on the road.

I've wondered the same. I'm thinking It's not the beefy top of the line construction methods they employ.

Maybe the axles are a little further back on this unit than on some others. It is heavy up front.

My 26' 26TBSS has a tongue weight of 860 with battery and full gas bottles. I load the heavier items over the axles and to the rear. Axles are further back on trailer.
