327 RES Nose High

We just bought a new Wildwood Heritage Glen 327 RES and it pulls un-level (nose high). The hitch has no height adjustment and the pin box is already in the highest position. I read that pulling the trailer nose high is dangerous and will cause the rear wheels on the trailer to run hot and fail. Please tell me what I'm to do in this situation. Thank you. GB.

What's the height difference front to rear?

Didn't measure the difference but I'm guessing 6 inches. I just uploaded a new photo showing the difference better. Thanks.

Are you running air bags on the TV?

If not then it looks like a lift kit for the Wildwood is in order.

It is not so much the Wildwood as it is the axle brand, if you know that then a web search will yield the results you seek.

10-4. I'll do some more research. Does the pin plate have to be level. It might be an option to remove the rear pin box bolts and tilt the pin box up. The front bolts would be at the highest position and the rear bolts would be one position down. Has anyone ever done this? Will it work?

You can try that but I do not think it will make enough difference that you could see it.

Only option I can see is a lift on the trailer.

If you had a tpms on the trailer you could then see tire temp.

IMO with a equalizer leaf spring suspension it shouldn't matter if it's nose high.
This is what the "equalizer" does.

Probably get a lot of guff, but if it were me, I would lower the truck front and back and build a 2 x 4 x 3/16" tube frame (rectangular box) for the trailer and lift the trailer 4". I would not tow the trailer high or low in the front end.
With the trailer hooked up, measure the difference in front and back and subtract the rear from the front, divide it by 2 and that's how much you need to raise the trailer or lower the truck.

I can't tell from the photo, but have to ask, do you have oversized tires or a suspension arrangement that raises the TV vehicle bed above the normal range? Also, my understanding from Reese and Blue Ox is that the distance from the RV overhang to the TV bed rails is supposed to be between 6 & 8 inches. Another concern is dragging the rear of the fiver. Even with level, I've scraped the bottom several times simply due to the uneven layout of a campsite pad. From your picture, that should be a big concern.

Stock factory truck. It is a 4x4 which makes it higher. It has an equalized (flex) suspension so I'm hoping the weight on the axels are equal even though the trailer is nose high. The next time out I will use a infrared thermometer and measure the temperature of the tires after pulling for a while to see if the rear tires are running hot. The trailer pulls good. I am a bit concerned about dragging the back end on steep driveways.

I own a hemisphere 327RES also have same issue. I ended up lowering distance between bed and trailer to five inches to get the back not to drag over any dip the trailer might cross. There are other threads covering this same issue they all seem to point to the axles or springs used. Be aware if rv is lifted it makes the ground an even bigger leap to first step. That was an issue for my wife who has bad knees. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies guys. A closer look at the king pin box reveals there are two more holes of adjustment under plastic trim between the pin box and trailer. So my next move will be to remove the trim and raise the pin box. Hopefully this will do it. In hindsight, I should have opted for a 4x2 truck. The new 4x4s are just too high for pulling a fifth wheel.
