ANY shadow [A/C cover, vent cap, TV antennas, vents] will wipe out your solar panels. It opens the circuit and stops ALL charging.

Also, unless you disconnect the battery, those parasitic loads can half drain a single battery in less than a week sometimes. Sounds like you may have started with a half dead battery then added in some cloudy days on top of that.

I'm not sure, but it sounded like he wants to run his fridge. You have to have 12 volt even if on LP.

Yes, but the several days before he started it didn't require the battery to be connected and it was most likely half dead before he started charging.

EDIT: Sorry...I see what you're saying. I was talking about before he was running the refrigerator. It would have to be connected once he starts using it.
