Black tank vent

Any 27rkss owners have issues with the black tank fumes coming back in the vent in the bathroom? My vents are literally 3 inches from each other. I do have a cover on the vent. I had to trim it too. Click image for larger version

I don't have that trailer but my black vent on my Vibe was at the opening end of the bathroom vent and we never had issues with fumes.

Only if I flush the toilet for a period of time to try and get more water in the tank.

since its just a vent and needs to breath, you could attach a hose/tube/pvc pipe and run it to an area away from your bath vent

Wow. That is close. I agree with you that it is likely you would get some problems. My black tank vent on my pop up is on the other side of the roof. Not sure what you can do to fix the problem other than finding a new way to route the pipe.

Vin.

typically you don't get air entering your roof vent... only exiting - due to the chimney affect.

Occasionally if you have a strong wind it can push the air into the vent.

But yours is "downwind" of the opening on the cover, so if the wind were pushing air into the opening it would also be pushing the fumes away.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you get an issue - then maybe look at changing the style of the vent to be higher?

Our last trailer was the 27RKSS and our vent looked the exact same, however we never had any issues.

I have made an extension for the black tank vent. I'll install it this weekend and see what happens. The smell is either from the vent or the turlet. It's definitely not from me...lol thx for the inputs.
