Charging the battery

We have a 2018 Wildwood 171RBXL TT. Does the battery recharge when connected to the TV or 110v or do I have to manually charge it?

you have a converter / charger that should recharge the battery when connected to 110 vac power (shore or generator). to do so the battery disconnect switch must be set so that the batteries are connected. also, there may be a small resettable 12 vdc circuit breaker near the batteries that must not be tripped (open). do not expect to recharge the battery from the tow vehicle. at best the tow vehicle will supply a small trickle charge but it will not 'recharge' a battery.

My 2017 F-350 with the trailer tow package has a 30 amp fuse on the trailer charging circuit.

The tow vehicle thru the electrical plug has a wire lead that would connect directly to the TT battery via the 12 v panel. This wire is typically #10 size.
That size wire is rated at 30 amps. Like the prior response, it would be protected by a 30 amp. fuse. The maximum amperage would be controlled by the TV circuitry.

In reality between the wire length from the fuse panel in the TV and the TT battery and the resistance in the Bargman the voltage delivered to the battery is generally just sufficient to maintain a charge and cover parasitic draws. Some members have upgraded the wiring and have charging capability even so, you may have to do a considerable amount of driving to recharge a depleted battery.

My wild wood runs batteries dead when not pluged in,because some things draw power.So I installed a battery cut off breaker, to turn off trayler.Then I installed a small solar charger directly on the batteries,Now they stay charged all the time.
