Cover for power vent??

Our 2003 Wildwood 26FLS has no skylight in the bath making for a very dark bathroom since the vent cover on the power vent is is not the standard vent fan I am used to but looks like a Fantantic Fan (exhaust only). I would like to put a cover over it so I can leave the vent open affording more light and protection from rain--can someone suggest a reasonably priced type to use? Something easy for us to install...Thanks, Jan >>PS Sure wish Forest River could come up with a brochure for me so I would have some specs on this model..!!

max air 2

I just did as you described... I am tiring of the new trailer smell so I installed a max air 2 over my fantastic fan vent. The max air 2 is supposed to have 50% more vent opening... You can buy a cover that is the same size as the fan (about $110 canadian vs. $39 for the max air 2)

I only run it on 2 so it should be fine. It is thermally fused so that if it get too hot (restrictive flow) it will not burn out. I have been running it all last week and it seems to be flne. I have also opened a window to let the air move into the trailer more freely. Of course it is a window that won't let the rain in also! (kitchen on my unit) I also propped the bathroom door open.

happy camping,

Maxx Air Fanmate 800 is made specifically for powered fan vents. I installed one over my Fantastic Fan and it works great. This is the type of cover that is needed according to the manufacturer.
