Dometic Rear A/C-Heat Unit

We have a Wildwood, 36 foot. There is a rear unit where the bunk beds are. A/C works great but there is an option for heat. However, it’s not blowing hot air. Any suggestions?

There may be an option for heat but it must have a heat strip to produce heat. If trailer is new, request the spec sheet which shows everything on the trailer. That’s what I did and found out the heat strip was in the front bedroom ac and not the main ac.

Could be the unit controls are included for a heat pump and it’s not.
Maybe it’s defective and will not port over to heat pump.
Very likely you’re not allowing enough for it to produce heat, they all start out as cool air. Eventually building to warmed air but never hot like a gas furnace.
Unlikely to have heat strips, the most expensive heat of all.

I have a Dometic Duo Therm and the heater is no longer blowing hot air. It has in the past. 2013 Sunseeker. Any suggestions?

If you have a heat pump model, they don't work below 40*F.

On my Georgetown, I have front AC with heat strip and rear AC has heat pump?!
The front blows luke warm air with heat strip. The rear is the same just slightly warmer with the heat pump. They have both at one time or another quit working. When I took it in for service they found the front had a loose connection and the rear controller box was bad.
I find the furnaces works better and seem pretty efficient in heating up the RV. I hope you find your answer as to whether it has heat or if it is even hooked up on installed?

If it once worked and is close to 5 years old and not working I’d suggest a good electric heater for the floor. Same current draw and also cheaper than the roof heat pump repair.

It’s no longer a heater when you need it! Is it worth troubleshooting st $100/hour? Your call, see post 7.

Most Dometic A/C's use a heater, not a heat pump (which is essentially a reverse cycle aircon). Heat pump models are much bigger and heavier.

The dometic ac’s and Heat pumps are basically the same size.
