Electrical Help

I ran a electrical cord to my Camper to check out the inside lights and when
I plug it up it throws a circuit breaker in my garage on the receptacle
Was working fine yesterday. Any thoughts? Does not throw any thing in the camper.

Need more info.

What size and length is the extension cord? How many amps is the outlet (15 or 20 amps) that you are plugging into.

Given a long enough extension cord and low amperage on the outlet it is possible that your converter/charger is pulling enough amps to trip it. Try plugging directly into an outlet if you can reach one.

Thanks NWJeeper the cord is at least 25 ft 12 gauge 3 prong 20 amp:
I will move it closer tomorrow and try the Camper Cord and see what happens.

I think that is your problem. I had a similar experience plugging my camper in at a friend's house in his pumphouse to a GFI plug. Moved it to a regular extension cord plugged into his house and it worked fine. Randy

Thank you Guy's for your help. I will try the house current and if that don't work it's off to my friendly RV Dealer.

I just thought I would let you know I changed out the GFI to a house receptacle
and now I have power. Thanks very much.
