Actually think it's a great idea as I find myself taking the bottle cover off to accomplish the same thing. Especially when I know one bottle is getting low and I'm expecting the regulator to flip to the full bottle.

Tony's correct. Lets you eyeball the automatic regulator without having to pull off the bottle cover (impossible to do with bunk out).
