It's great news about the trailer involving Forest River and my local RV guy. More coming soon!

Yesterday, I sent a pretty emotional and honest email to Forest River, the manufacturer of my travel trailer. I wasn't bitchy, just very honest. They asked me to supply a VIN number to check for any production issues. I received an email today that Forest River will be repairing my entire trailer minus a deductible I pay!!!! Granted, that deductible is still a tidy sum of money, but far better than an $8000 loss or paying out of pocket. The repairs will take place after Hastings. No word on how long it will take.

In the meantime, my local RV guy feels horrible that with all the work they've done, the trailer still leaked. Even after I told him Forest River will be making the repairs, he offered the use of an older Wildwood just like mine that he has in stock for Monroe and for Ohio! He even offered to have his guy tow my trailer down to Forest River in Goshen, IN.

Insurance will still be taking a look tomorrow, and perhaps I can recoup part of the deductible.

What a crazy few days this has been. But so glad everything seems to be working out!

A good news day BSDMOM! The take away is being friendly and nice, explain and more often than not the Manufacture will look after you. I have the same experience with FR with my two trailers I have owned. Cheers and Good News!
