Fresh Water Filling/Overflow Problem

I have a brand new 2016 Hertitage Glen 368rlbhk.

We are at a provincial park with only electricity on site and a water spigot 200 ft away

Using 4 hoses, we are filling the fresh water tank. We have closed off the drain tap and are filling from the panel in the garage. After about 10 minutes, the tank gets about 1/3 full (according to the gauge inside), the water starts coming out the over flow pipe. the first time we stopped and thought that maybe the sensor was wrong.. but we quickly ran out of water.

So we started filling again and did not stop filling when it started to come out of the overflow. we filled for another 10 minutes and turned offf the hose and it now say 2/3 full, but it continues to drain out the overflow tube.

The trailer has a full belly pan, so it is hard to do much poking around underneath.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

A couple things here. I have a 2016 368rlbhk, one of my sensor wires was broke this not reading correctly on the panel for one of my holding tanks. It was broke under the camper where you obviously can't get to without dropping the belly. 2nd, do you have the antifreeze hose capped? F not that will suck air at the same time as water. My only other thought and the only way to verify this is drops g part oft he belly is that your overflow hose outlet was mounted low on your tank.

are you sure its the overflow hose and not the drain hose?

Maybe they put the valve on the wrong one?

On my 31KQBTS they unfortunately ran the overflow down and out of the bottom of the camper rather than up to the overflow vent on the fill cap.
This is just lazy manufacturing by Forest River!

This is annoying because you can fill your tank, but then when you drive to the campground you slosh out about 1/3 of your tank.

I solved the issue by adding a cap to the overflow. This means you have to be more careful when filling - remove the cap to fill it, and then install the cap before driving.
But I rarely use the tank... most places we camp have water at the site.
