When emptying tanks, what is galley water?

Typically the galley is the kitchen, so I would think it is your grey tank...

What trailer do you have? I have the same issue with my Salem 27rkss. nobody seems to know the tank capacity of the galley tank which I believe is separate from the grey water tank since it has a separate level indicator and drain.

Is your galley on one end of your unit and your head on the other end? You may have 2 grey tanks and they may have just been clever and named the one for the kitchen, the galley tank. Your head has the shower and sink. I looked at a unit that had two grey tanks, the kitchen was at front of unit and bath at rear. Just a thought..

Wildwood 28 BH XL. All I know about tanks is when draining I have 1 lever for draining black water and 2 others that look the same. But when I open the 2 I can't get galley water level light to go down. The grey goes down to empty

Yes the Galley is the kitchen, just wish I could find the capacity of the tank. not listed in any of the paperwork.

Ok, it sounds like you have a defective gauge.. To test, open the galley valve only and run water in the sink. If water comes out then the gauge is defective. If no water comes out then you have a clog.. I bet on bad gauge...

FR website lists grey water as 69 gals. That would be two tanks at 34, one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen.

"Defective" is a relative term when dealing with the tank indication system.

The kitchen sink gets tons of grease and food particles and since the level indicators use resistance to determine liquid level, any electrical path from the probe to the ground probe will show as some level of "fullness."

The more "shorted" the probe is, the "fuller" the tank will indicate.

Even the 1/3 probe will indicate "full" is the resistance to the ground probe is low.

This video from Horst Miracle Probes (which I recommend - with one exception - see my review) explains how the system works.

I have a similar problem with the galley tank. Says 2/3 full, so tried to dump on my 7 day schedule. Valve will not open. I suspect the valve is stuck shut or the cable is broken. Ran water with valve open and nothing came out. So I get to do battle with FR on some more warranty service.

Galley water, I have 2014 Wildwood 27RKSS. 1 black tank 32 gal. and 2 grey tanks both total 69 gal. I checked under the TT the galley tank is smaller than the main grey tank and is plumbed to the central grey valve, the main grey tank is also plumbed into the same line. The galley tank has a separate valve which is located just under the slide opening at the back (rear kitchen) That way you can empty the main grey tank then the galley. Don't know the exact capacity for the galley tank , but looks like about 20 gals.
