Generator

We have a 2016 Wildwood x-lite. We are looking at purchasing a Honda generator. Opinions on the EU2000i. We will be dry camping in Yosemite in April. Wondering if this will work for us.

Yep, as a native Californian, a generator is almost a must if you want to camp in the State and National Parks there.

We've used our Honda 2000i for over 10 years and love it.
Only limitation is it probably won't run the a/c.
Other than that, it'll run everything else.

My opinion is that the Honda EU2000i is the best choice. We have had two for 11 years that run everything we need when boon docking. We boondock 80% of the time for weeks at a time. You can buy cheaper brands but I'm glad I didn't.

We have the 2000i and the 2000i companion ( 30A plug). They start every time, run quiet and economical on gas as well as easy enough to move around. If you need occasional AC, you can add the 2000i companion. When no AC needed leave one home. The 3000i will run the AC but it heavy if you only need it occasionally.

You just named one of the best 2kw gensets, other being Yamaha IMO. BUT, they cost $$$, which I couldn't justify. So we went with a Champion 2800/3100. Slightly noiser than those two, but still has the ECO mode and should run our AC when needed. Your not going to get anyone that can put down the reliability of a Honda 2k gen though. So its a respected choice of a genset. Chain it down because they tend to walk off!
