Returning from a long weekend trip to the Calif. Central Coast in a rain strom, we had a few issues to fix on our 2015 286 RL 5th wheel. 1) a leak in the bedroom slide. 2) a gapping split between the landing and sidewall in front of the bathroom door. 3) power awning was separating from the rig near the cap. 4) those lousy window blind strings were all out of alignment again.
(I should admit that we do have over 8K miles on this rig.)
Back in to see our Dealer Best RV in Turlock Ca. During the intake inspection, they noted that there was a gash in the middle of the rubber roof. Wow! I was up there two days before we left and the roof was fine. Must have been wind blown tree debris during the storms. They also noted that there was excessive wear on the back edge of the roof near the ladder. I'm guilty by letting the hose drag there while washing the roof. There was also problems at the roof/cap connection.
We do have an extended warranty. Best RV checked us in with our laundry list of repairs and suggested that we contact out RV insurance about the roof repairs.
We called Progressive, after the initial call, they were in contact weekly and every time they inspected our rig or contacted Best RV. Including a call after we had been contacted by Best RV to come collect our rig to see if all was well!
All repairs were explained to us in detail to our satisfaction by the Best RV.
Yep, we're happy campers. By the way this is the second rig we've purchased from Best RV. Oh, did I say we bought our rig at Best RV in Turlock California?
