ID:	129273 apparently, the lawn mower picked up a rock! Glad we weren't heading where soon. A quick call to my local Glass company and we were as good as new.

If a LAWNMOWER did that then you’re not really in winter storage. If it were winter storage you would be telling us a snowblower did that. You don’t know winter…just saying.

X2 on that one!!
My 26RR is surrounded by white stuff, would need a bulldozer to make a path so it could be towed out by the same bulldozer!!

Yes for sure. My trailer is currently blocked by a six foot high snow drift and another foot and a half is coming right now. That's winter storage.

Since the OP is in California, maybe he should call it "Off Season" storage instead.

Thankfully, there is no off season in California!

Where ya headed, Camper Al? Lodi? Paso Robles? Napa? Ever since we bought our Wildcat, we "wine camp" at all three.

We're staying at the Atascadero Elk's Lodge and plan on doing R&D (rest & drink) the Temperance area.

There is an "offseason" in some parts of CA. Living in the Eastern Sierra Mtns. my rv was buried in a few feet of snow. I dug it out and took a winter break camping at a Malibu State Beach 325 miles away. That's the great thing about CA; you can go from skiing to surfing in just a few hours.( It helps compensate for the God Awful city traffic and congestion.)

Temperance is a great location Lots to do in a very small area. We're headed to Paso next weekend. We stay at Wine Country RV. Enjoy!

Camper Al - Isn't that an oxymoron: camp and drink in a town called Temperance?

If you don't think California gets snow perhaps you better read up on "The Donner Party" Pioneers trapped in the snow of the Sierras............

You might change your tune............

Where did i say that California doesn't get snow?

As a native Californian, who lived there for 60 years, I do know it snows in SOME areas of California. And I probably know more about the Donner Party than you do, since we studied it in school many times.

Generally it mainly snows in The Sierras, the San Gabriels, the San Jacintos, the San Bernadinos the Cascades and the Siskiyous. All mountain ranges.

Most anywhere else would be a rarity, which would probably be the vast majority of the state.

The OP lives in the San Joaquin Valley, where it never snows.

Bikendan, thanks for such valent defence of California. It's true the the Central Valley is two hours from either ski or surf. Yet we make up for it with freezing fog winters and 105 degree summers. But, it's a dry heat...

This year it has been more like cryogenic storage than winer storage. Daily highs of about -25oC for several weeks and now 30cms of dry, powder snow to add to the misery. But, this is Alberta, so wait a few minutes and we'll be at +10oC when the Chinook kicks in.
