Heater not working Wildwood FSX19

Hello Wildwood owners! Anyone having heater problems? We have a new Wildwood- the heater will turn on- then when it's turned off it won't come pack on again. Any suggestions? Can't get it into the shop until November 21- need it for hunting!

Check the pilot light. If it stays lit, then the problem likely is in the thermostat. Check the electrical connections to tightness.
If the pilot light doesn't stay lit, the thermocouple either isn't close enough to the flame, or it defective.
A heating/cooling company may be able to help too. They deal with gas water heaters and furnaces all the time.

Oh, if you mean the furnace, there isn't a pilot light. Sorry. But do check your electrical connections for tightness. Check the battery connections/condition too. The furnace should be 12vdc.

This may sound silly, but is there propane in the tanks? Are the tanks turned on? Speaking from experience here.😉

Yes! We even tried a different tank. Going to check out the connections like you said. Hopefully it is as simple as that!

You might call a heating company. It uses an electric spark to ignite the furnace. You might be able to hear it sparking when it's trying to start.
On mine, the blower starts first, then, a little while later, the burner lights. That is for safety. Check that, just to make sure you aren't trying to "rush" things.

If you turn on the propane tank valve too quickly there is a safety valve that will sense the rush of gas and shut off in case of a leak, turn off the valve, wait about 10 minutes then turn the valve slowly. It also helps if you light the range burner to help purge air out of the system. The furnace is designed to try to light 3 times and if it doesn't after the 3 tries it will lock itself out.

Is the fan coming on when you turn it on? If the fan is not blowing it will not open gate valve to allow propane. We had a loose wire on our fan that caused intermittent issues. But a new wire nut fixed the problem.

are you plugged in to 110 power? furnace needs to have more that 11 volts DC from the battery. if it has less than this the control board will lock out and not let the furnace run. you may have a bad control board. The symptoms you are describing are what happened to me last fall. The control board was defective and replaced.
