The only real solution is to measure it yourself. Get a digital measuring device (they are cheap on eBay). Drag a length of timber onto the roof and hang it out at the highest section of the roof (you will probably need to weigh it down with a load of other heavy stuff to stop it falling off). Using the digital tool, measure from the ground to the under side of the overhanging timber.
Or, park under an object (service station roof, trestle, low bridge) of known height or you measured earlier and subtract the difference.
All sounds a bit stupid, but I had to do something similar. Tried dangling measuring tape from the roof but could never get the right place to do it. Vents and a/c's stick up from the centre-line, not near the edge.
