HG 356qb fulltimers

As we embark on our trial run of full time living in our 2015 HG 365qb i was curious if anyone else was full time in this model and if so what have you done to improve your living, storage etc.

We have 2 kiddos (9 and 2) as well as 2 dogs in the 50lb range. Both dogs are kennel trained.

We will be living for a week in the 5er as a trial run to determine how feasiable it will be, with the intent to live for around 6 months max aftet selling our house snd trying to find a new one.

Good luck on your trial run. Camping is one thing living full time is another. I have not done it in a TT but have on a sail boat and found I had to become disciplined at putting things back in the same spot.

Thanks, its going to be an adventure, but we truly feel its the best move.

We went today snd grabbed odds n ends for the week, to include a new range vent flap (lost it between MI and TX), max air vent covers and the reflective door window covers. We will load up tomrrow and get set up by 3 hopefully.

Well our trial has began, we got all set up around 1 today, in a nice pull through. Got the roof vent covers installed snd the second reflectix on the msin door, considering adding it to the remaining windows as there isnt alot of shade here. Hopefully by tuesday we will have settled into our routine.

I am pretty sure that ependydad is full time in that same floorplan but a different model. He has a tonne of information that he posts about full timing. Very informative stuff

Ahh, you're right. The floorplans are very similar. Different kitchen and 2nd bathroom setup on mine but similar concept overall.

I do like this full bathroom setup in the back. The biggest things that we have done is taking the bottom bed out of driver's side of the bunk (we had a couch, it was easy to remove), getting a GOOD ladder for the upper bunk, and then mostly just hanging pictures and decorations to make it feel more homey.

Little stuff here and there. Lots of fixes- these things were never meant to be lived in. Small electrical issues, drawer bottoms falling out, and drawer slide-hardware needed replaced.

I think I mentioned to KIPKERS before, but there is a Facebook group called Fulltime Families that is an excellent source of other families who are fulltiming. The group's membership is up close to 10,000 but, of course, not everyone is actually fulltiming (some dreamers, some doing it, some done with it).

Well day 2 is coming to a close. The wife worked today and i was on a day off with the kiddos.

We are slowly learning and finding our full timer routine. It was in the high 90s today snd with no shade we felt it. Tried to give the ac a rest some and prevent them from freezing up. We maintained about 84 all day inside. Considering adding more reflectix to a couple windows and the skylight in front bath. Our awning shade should be in tomrrow, the evening is about unbarable for cooking and eating outside.

We did pick up w rug from the house for the boys room to make it w little more comfortable for the dogs and kiddos to lay around.

Tomrrow starts our first day to be on a full work sechdule so we will see.

I wish i could remove the rear couch to turn into a dog create/bed area but we are using that for our 2 year old to sleep.

All in all its been another great day.

We had my 2 year old in a pack and play. He had just turned 3 when we started fulltiming and we moved him to a top bunk with a railing. Other than the railing falling off periodically and him once (maybe twice, but only while awake)- it's been good to us. We finally bolted the railing to the bunk itself.

For the heat- we Reflectix all windows in the bedrooms and the 1/2-bath door window. We also got one of those vent pillows and stuff it into the vent in the 1/2-bath.

We run the ceiling fan constantly and will often setup small fans on the floor to move cool air to wherever we need it.

Awning support poles and a deployed awning are a must. Gives you shade on a side of the camper.

We've been full timing in our 2015 356QBQ for about 14 months and love it. Removed both couches for dual desks (kids do school work and we both work online) and replaced the dinette with a larger table. Also added another A/C and automatic satellite. Most importantly we replaced the cheap Chinese tires with some Goodyear Marathons. Finally we put in a washer/dryer combo.

Well we completed pur final day of the trial period. We stayed at an rv park from sunday to friday and went camping with our group friday to monday.

Today we decided to pull the trigger and sale our house, placing it on the market august 1. It will be an adventure and some modifications are needed as well as some upgrades.

We will be removing the rear couch and utilizing the space for the dogs creates, bed and food.

We will upgrade the front bed matress, covering the wood bed support to prevent additional injuries, adding small end tables with 12v plugs on each side for cell phone charging. We are also consideing upgrsding from a 13.5 manual control front ac to a 15 tstat control.

Thanks for the tips, suggrstions

If still under warranty have the dealer call dometic about the AC leak. They did on mine and put in a drain bypass kit and seems to have fixed it.

I think dometic has a 2 year warranty on the unit itself. I think the bypass is what it was called but not sure. I had it in for repair for that exact problem several times and they said this last time dometic recommended the repair they did and it seems to have worked. Now if they can fix the leak in my storage compartment that seems to be coming from the bedroom slide when open I will be good to go.
