Inside Lights
Just hooked up my battery, getting ready for trip. Inside lights don't work, but electric jack did work. Suggestions?

My old TT had a manual reset breaker near the battery. Push the plunger in and you're good.

Do you have a battery cutoff switch? Mines kills everything but the landing gear.

I would imagine its inside a docking station where all your utilities hookup or somewhere in a storage compartment. Is this a new RV or did you just purchase it used?? Make and model may help us.

Follow the battery cables back from the batter box. Either a push button switch or a rotary knob switch.

Every model is a little different, but check out post #6 in this thread. Has a couple pictures that might help find the 12V reset on the frame.

One other thought - is it only the lights that aren't working, or most of the 12v side? Check your water pump. If that works, the issue is probably specific to the circut for the lights.

No your lights and slides are 12v dc so they will not work by shore power. The shore power powers the converter and feeds the 12v items in the trailer. Did you just get this RV?? If you had a battery disconnect you should know where it is. If this is all new to you then dig around or see if you have a friend that is familiar with an RV. They could spot it pretty quick.

No I got it new in 2011. Just checking things out before trip. I think all worked when we disconnected the battery and put it up for winter.

Not to be obvious but did you get all the wires reconnected when you reconnected the battery. Its real easy for a cable to drop behind the battery and out of sight. Don't ask me why I would think of this as a problem..

If you click the link to the thread "Just installed an inverter" and scroll down to post #6, you will see a couple pictures of the mini-breaker. If you have good charge on the battery and everything is hooked back up, this is the most likely source of the problem. If the wires are were reversed when you re-connected the battery, that could have caused this. (don't ask how I know...) In that case, you may also have two blown 40 amp automotive type fuses blown in your panel. They are usually marked something like "reverse polarity fuses"

OK. I got under the trailer an followed the cable from the battery. Just under the front, one portion of the cable had come completely out where it was crimped. Put back, tightened the nut. Went inside and removed both 40 fuses. Service at RV Max in Cleburne said it would be a 40 if it was the fuse. Anyway replaced fuses and I have lights. Thanks all

in the bathroom at the plug is the GFI breaker. Check to see if it has been tripped. Push the red button between the sockets in.

most interior lights are 12 volt so they would be on a fuse, not a breaker
