Inverter Installed

Not as important as on our boat, but nice to have for grinding fresh coffee beans and making a pot while on the road.

Decided to locate it near the AC/DC panel since the main positive supply comes there first.

1000W is all we need to run a 600W coffee maker.

I installed another 12V type 27 on the tongue to giving us a total 240AH.

I used 4awg ancor wire to the panel, but FRF only uses 6awg from the battery, so had to run a new 4awg wire for the positive from the battery and a short one from the frame for the neg.

I cut a new piece of plywood for the location under the fridge 3/8" as the
current plywood FRF used is very light.

Mounted the Inverter and connected with a 150A resettable breaker on the pos lead.

I have a 12ton crimper I got from eBay a couple years ago for doing the same project on our cabin cruiser so I can terminate my own cables. It was $120USD at the time.

It does a great job and all the terminals are very secure & professional looking. The crimper came with multiple dies from 8awg to 2/0.

Works great and no need for a generator for short 120V needs.
