Leave Slide Outs In or Out

We have a 2014 Wildwood with 3 slides. We have the trailer stationary at a campground. We are weekend campers and have been bringing in the slides when we leave and then open them up when we return. 2 of the slides have toppers. Is it better to leave or bring in the slides every week?

There is no harm in leaving them out.

i would bring in. only takes a few seconds to redeploy, and the peace of mind of at least slowing any varmit or critter down from getting inside would be worth it.

I usually leave mine out, but always worry about high winds / severe storm damaging the toppers. If there is a chance of storms, I will pull them in. Better safe than sorry.

IMHO, why leave the slide out, exposing it to weather/animals/debris, when you don't have to.

no slideout has perfect barriers to the outside when open. there's less chance of damage by keeping it in.

OK thanks for all the responses. We have been bringing them in every Sunday and will continue doing so. Thanks again.
