This was our first summer in our 2014 300BH and we love it. Very happy with our unit so far.

That's good to here we are looking at picking ours up on the 21st. Is there anything you would suggest that I look for in the PDI?

I can't help you with specifics for this unit- but I strongly encourage the use of a PDI checklist like we have in our Library:

I have a '14 356qbq. Love it so far. Few minor issues: 1- front gray/ black tank handles switched. Labeled right, but dealer fixed no problem. Everyone I've seen is the same way. 2- get rid of the Dometic 300 toilets. Within a few days I had a bad one, both replaced under warranty with the upgrade to the 310 model. Much nicer. Try to have the dealer swap them prior to purchase for no charge. Otherwise after the first use it will probably stink. Look in the plumbing section in the sticky thread about this. 3-left taillight was screwy. Turns out the bulb was forced in backwards into the bulb socket. Replaced both with LED taillights, just because I wanted them. Other than those, no major issues so far. I bought mine in July, had about 8-9 trips in it. I have 2 kids and they love the back with the separate bathroom. My wife and I have a nice secluded area up front. I'd add some BAL lock arms or JT strong arms stabilizers to the front landing gear. That was the only was to practically eliminate the sway while setup. The outdoor kitchen is nice too. It pulls well and seems balanced pretty well. Plenty of storage and I have only the single AC but it held up well for my normal climate. Heat works good. The 2 bathrooms are definitely a plus. Fit and finish is pretty good compared to other 5ers we looked at. Overall we really like ours, and can't wait until the weather breaks.

Thanks for the Information. I pick mine up next Saturday. How do I tell what model the toilets are and if there is a problem with them?

Right behind the foot flush near the bottom of the toilet, there is a serial # sticker and model info. The upper and lower sections are all plastic. If it's a Dometic 310 it will be a plastic base and porcelain bowl. It's a well known problem but some dealers are saying they don't know anything about it. I personally didn't go the the dealer, Dometic shipped my 2 toilets for free pretty fast too. Their customer service is pretty nice to deal with.

When I was looking at them, the 6k axles were a disappointment to me. Kind of a heavy trailer for that light of axles. Just my opinion, but others with similar sandpipers and sierras have experianced the same.
Best of luck!

This trailer does have the upgraded 16" wheels? Have not looked yet does this mean that it has up graded 7,000lb axles then? Does everyone else have the touch screen remote that runs the front and rear jacks, awning, lights and slides?

The 6k and 7k have 16" wheels available I believe.
The 7k axles have 8 lugs and the 6k only 6 lugs.

I will have to take a closer look at the axles when I go look at the trailer next Saturday.

I have the 6 lug aluminum wheels and 6k axles. When I scaled the trailer empty there was 10100 lbs for both trailer axles (5050 lbs each). Leaving around 1800-1900 pin weight. I also have the Linc wireless remote. Makes you lazy but it's great adjusting the landing gear from inside the cab when hooking up. Just make sure if you operate the slides you make certain the interior doors are shut, otherwise you won't know til it's too late and stuff is smashed.

That's not to bad then still leaves plenty of room for gear and I was expecting a little more pin weight!! I hear you on checking all the doors and such before operating the slides I will most likely be a bit on the obsessive side about the slides for awhile. This will be quite a change going from a TT with no slides to this 5er!!

I was really close to losing a door because I was outside and operating the remote and for some odd reason I went in to check and sure enough it would have ripped the door handle plus whatever else off and maybe damage the slide. The remote is really nice, especially if your in a tight spot and need to watch trees and other stuff. This is a huge 5er so most sites are smaller now. Everyone will watch you now. Welcome to the big leagues of 5ers. 42' long, most places you have to check for big rig friendly sites. You will enjoy it. What are you pulling with?

2012 F-350 SRW with the factory fifth wheel prep package and the 11500 gvw. I went from a half ton Dodge to this Ford. I absolutely love the 6.7 diesel.

Do you drop all your stabilizers before running out your slides or after?

You should be fine with that truck. Enjoy and let us know how it is. Any questions, shoot me a message. There aren't too many 356qbq owners on here yet.

I level fore/aft with the landing gear, then the rear stabs, then slides out. Reverse to stow.
