New 2016 X-Lite FS 195BH

Hello!

We are picking up a new TT, our first one for our family of 4.

Gross weight is 3900lbs. I know cargo can increase that. Tongue weight is 400.

Our TV is a 2015 Chevy Traverse with the factory tow package giving it a 5200lbs rating. Will I have an issue towing this?

Thank you!

Never really towed anything before. Just concerned about our towing vehicle.

What's the payload capacity of your traverse? At first glance it looks like you will be ok, but it will depend on payload. You certainly won't get anywhere in a hurry with that engine but it will do ok

Does anyone know if this camper has a cable tv connection or is it just the antenna? We go to pick ours up on Friday.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the TT and how it does with the Traverse. We have a '16 Traverse AWD with Tow Package and going round and round on what we want. Leaning towards the Wildwood X-Lite 201BHXL or Starcraft AR-One MAXX 20BHLE - both very similar to your 195BH, just a bit longer and bit heavier (although the Starcraft is lighter of the two).

Also, double check your numbers, but I think that FS 195BH is rated as Unloaded Trailer Weight of 3022, Carry Capacity of 881, gives GVWR of 3903 pounds. So, trailer loaded with max it can carry would be at 3900 pounds, according to Forest River website.

Please keep us updated how the trailer is and how the Traverse does pulling it!

Looks like your numbers are in line to be able to tow this trailer.

Have fun out there camping

The 195bh was out first tt also. We got it new in 2014. Our tv was a 98 f150, v6, manual trans, and rated at 3500lbs. I was hurting to stay at 55mph.. when in weighed it the tounge was 600lbs. And 1100 lbs cargo. No water either. No cable connection outside.

Ours does not have the park cable connection but I was told it was easy to add. What's odd is we have the dual outlet wall plate with one that says TV1 and the other is Sat. Our TT does not have prewire for Sat. The sales guy wasn't sure why it was like that.

Ours does have the tv antenna booster though.

How do you guys secure your TT from someone driving off with it? I'm thinking specifically with a lot that is a pull through.

Lock the tongue, clamp a rim, and some put an old ball in the tongue too. That stops some body from putting it on an 1 7/8" ball and running of with it.

Now I'm going back to looking for my 10mm wrench! 2016 Wildwood 27RKSS
