New Arrival Finally 2014 Wildwood 300BH

After ordering our trailer back in January I can happy report that we have finally delivered it to our campground. In the process of getting use to all the space and setting up the DirectTV in all rooms but are sure glad it arrived.

I'm attaching some photos of it. Some of the features I have come to really like:

* Universal Remote that controls All 3 slides, power jacks, awning and outside light. Very cool remote.

* Outside Kitchen. Love having the grill/kitchen right there. I can cook and grab another beer without loosing a heart beat. Gotta love it.

* I'll get some photos of the inside but the island in the kitchen is nice and just having all that room is wonderful to. I think I have a keeper so far.

Thanks for the replies. I already started on the mods:

1) MyTV Wireless HDMI Trasmitter/Receiver as this unit has four tanks and to run cables under the floor was next to impossible without taking the tanks down which would void warranty. This Wireless system works great. I can watch Direct TV on any of the 3 TVs in the trailer. Very nice.

2) Wheel Covers to keep the sun from beating on the tires.

3) Xtend Bal Choks as the wheel spacing is far apart so I had to go with this set up which helps but doesn't totaly eliminate the bouncing/shaking when walking.

4) Complete Limo Tint installed all the way around. Add privacy during the day and will help with air condition in the hot months.

5) Screen Door Bar for ease of opening/closing.

6) Screen Door closer springs. I added 1 spring from my old trailer but ordered a new set which should come any day now. This helps shut the door behind you when your hands are full.

Next on List.
* Add a few more stabilizer jacks to see if that helps cut down on the movement. The trailer is 38' so just by installing the wheel choks and factory stabiliziers aren't enough.

Already hand waxed the entire trailer and put protect all on the roof. Time to relax hopefully.

We have had our HGL 300BH for about 3 months now. We have had it out once, but leave for a 2 week stay at the lake in a week. We love the unit so far.

The only issue we have had is the bolt holding one wire on the rear stabilizer jack came out, with caused, I hope, a blown fuse for the remote. The buttons have an auto reset fuse, so after I zip tied the wire back in place, the buttons work fine. I really do need to call the dealer to see what is up with the remote not working.

Have you thought about mounting a larger tv in the living room? It is on my todo list.

Oh, and we have direct tv's genie system with 3 clients. This system and the 300bh is perfect. The sat signal comes in on the sat cable and plugs into the direct tv main unit. The 2 or 3 clients communicate with the main unit via the existing cable tv connections. I love it. The clients only have hdmi connections for the tv's.

One more thing. After doing some research on the subject, I decided to purchase 4 sizer jacks from Wally World. They are 3 ton jacks and are not tall enough to reach without blocks. I've read that the taller the jack, the less stable it is. I was about to weld them to the tt, but decided to test it out first. My plan is to put them in front and behind the axles at 45 degree angles (the 4 jacks will make a x). My thought is the jacks will provide a little more stability pointing forward and backwards at 45 degrees. I'll let you know how it works after vacation.

Sounds excellent. We have Direct TV as well and went with a MyWireless TV system that allows you to broadcast wireless HDMI signal to other TVs. This sounds like the Genie system you have. Very nice. I put the camco Rv jacks with the extended wheel locking system and this has cut down on movement an lot. Very happy with trailer and floor plan.

I just got my 2014 HG 300BH 2weeks ago. I was a little concerned by the overall length of this behemoth. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to tow. My DW and 3 boys love having their own "boys" room in the back. The universal remote controlling the awning, jacks, and the 3 slides is pretty ingenious idea. The central vacuum has come in handy. We love the layout and with the third slide on the entrance side of the unit really opens up the common area.

We are living in ours in the south Texas oil patch and are really enjoying the tt.

We took ours to our favorite state park fishing spot for two weeks. We could run both ACs, a tv-direct tv system, the refrig in the out door kitchen, and a second double door dorm refrig on the thirty amp connection. I was really surprised. Well, we have to have the park switch out the worn out 30 breaker first. On a side note, if anyone else is reading this, while the park guy was changing the 30 amp breaker out, I learned that the 20 secondary breaker is run off the 30 amp breaker. So at this state park, 30 amps is all one get get.

The light bulbs in the hanging island lights are 1142s. I was hoping to start replacing the bulbs with LEDs as they burn out, but the 1142s are about $25 each. I'll have to shop around some more. Those 3156s sure get hot when left on.

Looks nice! As far as the Linc remote not working, try disconnecting all power. Shore and the 12v batteries. Reconnect. My Linc remote didn't work until I reset the power. Now it works good. Just FYI, The light feature on the remote can't be overridden by the light switch. It completely bypasses it in my 5er. Hence the stuck on light. Just a learning curve. Enjoy the new camper.

Check for a recall, I thought a while ago there was a recall on a certain latch and lock assembly. NHTSA website and can search there.
