New steps

Looking for some suggestions on at least a double step for my 261BH. The single is a little too far for my 5 foot nothing better half and my daughter.

I'll cast my vote in favour of the Torklift GlowStep Revolution.

We found ourselves in a similar situation after we had the trailer lifted 3"... the bottom step was too far from the ground. I posted at the time about possible solutions and we were contacted by Torklift with the offer of a trial set, free in exchange for a candid review on their installation and use.

We recently returned from a three week trip where we put the steps through their paces.

thats crazy that there is only one step. It looks like you are on a level driveway and its already too high to use easily.

I can't imagine what happens if you are on a campsite that is not level!

I think the 2 (or 3) step version would be good, but perhaps a bit pricey?
I built a wooden step to help with uneven sites with my 3 steps.


its pretty easy to build if you are halfway handy.

I used to carry a wooden soda pop crate about 6-8" tall, about the size of mkosu04 made

I will also 2nd the Torklift Glow Revolution steps. They are absolutely wonderful! We had them on our last 5'er and we put them on our new 5'er. If we go with something else in the future, we will also purchase another set.

Did I say that they are wonderful?

As you can see in the above photos, they are all aluminum, they touch the ground so you don't get any bounce when someone comes in/out of the camper, they are adjustable for uneven ground and they have a 7" rise, which was especially useful after DH had both of his knees replaced.

I looked these up. They are nice!! Just not sure I want to spend that much. My plan is to upgrade our TT in the next year or two. I guess I could uninstall and put on the new one. Im just thinking out loud now. I'll have to study on this. Thanks for the info!

When I trade this trailer in, my plan is to get the dealer to swap steps as part of the deal.

The Torklift Glowsteps ARE *that good*.
