New Wildwood 27RKSS

Finally traded up from a 1990 Sunline Starray with no fun accessories or slides. Before and after pics. So happy, even if it was freezing cold and wind blowing is everywhere.

We were too excited. Spent the night in the front yard. 10 degrees outside, I can only imagine how much propane we burnt. But it was great! Stayed nice and warm!

Nice new camper! Might adjust on the WD hitch a little. Your truck looks like it is squatted quite a bit.

Thanks! Yeah I was looking at that. Going to have to pull it out on a flat spot and get it adjusted better. It was set up for the Sunline and it was so low to the ground.

If we could have gotten the money a little closer, we would have bought one of those rigs. The layout is perfect for a couple.

We ended up @$21000. Where they were promoting winter sales, Forest River added the power package and dealer had it on sale as well. Wasn't ready to buy at first, but couldn't beat the deal. Dealer said base price of the next one coming in without the promotion was in the low $30's

We pick our 27RKSS up Saturday. Bought a 2016 Surveyor 24RKS last year and figured out by mid summer we really didn't like the layout. Looking forward to the new Wildwood. Colaw RV in Carthage, MO made us a great deal on the trade.

BTW, does anyone know what the biggest TV is you can put in the living area?

Congrats on the new toy! Cant blame you for staying in it in the cold as I would do the same cuz it wont fit in the house. Yup love the rear kitchen models. Wanted a Coachmen 305RKDS but they stopped making them right when I was going to order. We would up going 5er route and just ordered a Flagstaff 8528RKWS. Cant wait for all the room as we are upgrading from a Sportsmen 2505QSS - no longer need a bunkhouse.

We put a 32 in the living room and a little 19 in the bedroom. Perfect in both. Also got a digital audio-out to RCA-in adapter to allow the tv sound to come through the 4 ceiling speakers. Plus Bluetooth adapter and RCA video to HDMI converter so the DVD player could connect to my tv which doesn't have an RCA video in port (the yellow one). Hope this helps!

I put a Sony 40" in the living area. it fits fine. Moved the swing arm mount to the bedroom and put the 32" we already had in there. Both work great.

gjump, where did you get your digital audio out to RCA in adapter? I checked wal-mart but haven't looked anywhere else.

I bought the converter on Amazon. I bought that plus a Bluetooth adapter for iPhone music connectivity. I also bought the rca video to HDMI converter since my tv doesn't have the video Rca input. Hope this helps!

Nice rig,you might also want a air-bag that rear end.Check the RAM forums. Also what also comes to mind is Hellwig's sway-bar this also help's as well, during those windy days running interstates. After all that you can then adjust those WD arms. Also watch those air pressure's on those Goodyears, after they warm up.Happy trails..D&S.

Yes it is a nice rig as we also have a 2015 wildwood 27RKSS and pull it with a 2016 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel . We put the Air Lift 1000 Bags on it to prevent any sag and to assist WDH on the trailer. Love both, as we have more room then the smaller Wildwood before and get better Fuel mileage then the 2012 Hemi we had.
