Now The Fun Begins

Just herd from the Ins. Co. They are going to pay for the repairs on our TT. ($15,000+) Now comes the fun part, waiting for the repairs to start and finish. Hope it wont'take too long. Wish me luck.

We just got the final amount of the repairs. It will be $16,866. They told us the repairs should be complete by the end of April. One thing I learned in the discussions with our insurance company, was that if the unit was not repairable(totaled) they would only Pay the Actual Cash Value(ACV) instead of the Face value of the policy. In our case the Face value was $29,000 and the ACV was $26,995. It seems a shame that you pay the premiums for the face value, but can only collect the ACV.

Yes, Gap insurance will take care of the difference, but will require an extra premium

With our insureance we have replacement coverage. It almost seems better for all to just have it replaced. Good Luck, I hope all goes well

UPDATE The TT is now at the repair shop, been there for three weeks, They still haven't received the parts. The parts have been ordered( according to the dealer for 4 weeks). Is this normal? I've been trying to build a fire under the repair shop contact and the dealer contact. The ins, Co. sent me the check last week. What's holding this up??
