Outdoor Speakers - Who makes a replacement?

My outdoor speakers have failed due to exposure and I can't find a replacement. Everything I can find is either the wrong diameter or too deep to install.

It had a pair of RVtion 662-b speakers but I can't find those or any supper low profile speakers.

The speaker I have is called a 6" but I think they should say 6.5"

Thanks for the help

Maybe you can visit your local car audio retailer and see if they can set you up with something better which will sound better and last longer.

I doubt you will find those exact speakers anywhere other than a salvage yard. I think you would be better off replacing them with another brand. Amazon has a lot of 6.5" marine speakers. Here is one example. In the review someone states they installed them on the outside wall of their RV.
https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-SPS-M6...2&keywords=6.5

Make sure to check the installation depth. The distance between the mounting surface and the base of the magnet to make sure it will fit inside the wall.

Crutchfield has been in business for a long time and might have something that fits.

whatever you purchase ensure they are WATERPROOF!.

Jensen makes good marine grade speakers which I installed on our BH 2 yrs ago. we had blasted the center cones out of the factory units which were 5 inch ones and I had to open the mounting hole out a bit more for these.

Site: JENSEN Speakers

Speakers: Outdoor Speakers | MSX60RV 6.5 in. JENSEN Coaxial Outdoor Speakers

We use a small boom box. Bluetooth, usb, micro sd card, aux, am, fm, rechargeable. We can use it at the table or take it to the campfire with you. Sounds great at any volume so you do not bother your neighbors.

Wow, the OP asked about new speakers to fit his setup, NOT your opinion on what YOU feel YOU should experience at a campground.

We upgraded the exterior speakers to the Fusion Marine speakers. Not for the volume... But for the clarity. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...d.php?t=131555

I'm not sure what speakers you are looking for, but most RV dealers should be able to get replacement speakers for you. My RV Dealer, Madison RV, Madison, AL has several different speakers in stock.

As to outside music, I don't turn my volume up high enough to disturb my neighbors.

I know this is an old thread, but if anyone else is looking, Pyle makes a shallow speaker, available on Amazon that should work (the one I ordered was approx. 1.5" deep). On our Sierra I replaced our outside speakers with the 5.5" 100W 4ohm water proof version. Screw holes were even an exact match with the originals. One thing to note is make sure you order the right size. The complete outer diameter of our speakers was a hair over 6". This is NOT your speaker size. Ours were 5.5" speakers. I had to do a very small amount of work with a carbide burr in a rotary tool to fit them in (about 5 minutes each side). Make sure to have a N95 mask handy if you are going to do this. Last piece of advice, is to take note of which wire is connected to the pos vs neg terminal on original speaker so you don't mix them up. Hope this helps others, and everyone needs to be respectful of those around them. We mainly use ours when camping in isolated locations or at the ball tourney's and that's about it.

trev.mlt,
Thank you for reply. Do you have a model # on those Pyle speakers? I ended up buying a Klipsch Groove bluetooth speaker. It sounds much better that the OEM.
Thanks again,
crunchman

I'm not sure if they're the same model mentioned above but I replaced mine with these Pyle PLMR51B. They fit perfectly without modification in the wholes from oem speakers.
