The word...Lawsuit... should never come up in the conversation. (all communication will shut down if that word is use)

1) talk to Dealer owner on phone. Tell him his Rep said 'tire problem'.... Tell him that everyone else that you talked to said 'alignment' problem. Tell him you will not drive 7 hours and trust a bios 'rep', but will take to a local alignment shop for review. You will contact him after the review for reimbursement on the alignment and adjustment on the tires. If the Dealer wants Lippert involved.. YOU talk to Lippert for yourself and do not go through the Dealer.

(imo)

No words about Lawsuit.... (keep your cards covered)

Is this an issue ton specific models? Or all Wildwood/Forest River TT's?

Not fair to condemn the entire model line, could be small number of TTs.

Which model Wildwood do you have? I see two that could be cargo challenged. The 27RKSS and the 27RLSS. Loading both those to the max could cause problems. The rest of the lineup has what looks like more CCC than you could actually load in a TT.
If you only have 1200lbs or so of CCC then it is possible that you are overloaded.

Have you looked underneath to see what axle you have? The GVW of that TT is 7648lbs. Assuming a minimum of 10% tongue weight would give you a fully loaded weight around 6883lbs. If they put two 3500lb axles under then you could be close on max load. Just a thought. I would hope they put 4400lb axles under it.

OK I found one like yours and it had a sticker of the axle and CCC sticker. You do have 3500lbs axles. The dry weight of the one on the net was 5700lbs. Not sure what yours weighs but since most people load 1000lbs in I'll go with that. 6700lbs and 10% for TW that leaves 6030lbs on the axles. 7000lbs for the axles leaves you with 242.5 per hub. I think that should be enough. But if they're lippert it's a good chance that they're using softer steel and they have in fact bent.
I would get it weighed camp ready and then see how far under the GVW you are. That will give you something to work with.

Not much more to add Robert.

I wish you luck and keep us posted on your efforts. Sounds like you have a good handle on what should be done.

Vin.

Just bring it to a quality heavy duty truck/trailer alignment shop. They will fix the problem for under $200.00 and you can move on. Don't go to an RV dealer they are not equipped to do an alignment. All they will do is replace the axle with a new one which may be off as well. The popular Correct Track system won't do you any good either. All they do is adjust the axles tracking they cannot make adjustments for camber or toe. A good alignment shop can adjust all three.

Thanks for all the good advice, my axles are 3,700 pounds each. I will take it to an axle shop after I hit the public scales.

I feel your pain. I went thru the same thing on a SOB TT. It really sucks to have to fix things that should never be a problem. Especially when you don't get support from the dealer. No brand is excluded from issues which is sad.

I have never heard of an axle being installed upside down. This would be hard to do as the spring pads are welded to them and they will only only fit the springs one way.

Read on these forums enough and you'll read about all kinds of stuff. I've only read about it a coupe times but then again of the 1000's of trailers sold only a small percentage ever posts on forums.

Well, dealer called and said my single axle,195bh was done. Warranty water leak was roof, and some wall panels replaced. But, they said inside tire wear is normal at this time, 300 miles on unit. I was told, this time, that it has more than that because the factory tows it to the dealer, 1000 miles. When I purchased it, the dealer said small TT's get put on a flat bed 2 or 3 at a time and hauled to the dealer....hmmmm. Then I was advised to put radial tires on it. I'm not happy with the results.
The top tank level sensors do not work either, in the black or grey. The dealer said that "FR doesn't pay for diag time and the wiring tested good, at this time it doesn't appear to be a warranty issue, empty them when the 2/3". Seriously! That what I was told. I've had it 8 months, used it 6 times and they had for the last 2 months " waiting on parts from the factory".
Being an auto mechanic, and I the customer service field everyday, I find it amazing that a company is willing to loose a customer over 10 mins of labor and a $5 sensor.
Any thoughts? Anybody know of a factory phone number or point of contact?

2014 Wildwood X-lite 195bh......Happy camping.
