question on shower surround
My friend just purchased a new 2019 Wildwood and it does not have any thing on the wall in the shower/tub is this normal? The wall is the same wall as in the entire camper. We have a Sunseeker and had a Rockwood camper and both have/had the plastic tile looking surround...

Some manufacturers choose to not install tub/shower surrounds.
I had a SOB that was this way saving them money on every unit.
It was OK for a year or two but then water started to wick up in the corners, bulging the wall panels. We wound up installing our own panels and then traded it off a year or so later.

I googled wildwood 2019 and click on fisrt link. Sure enough, no shower surround. I'd either install one or see if I could find some sealant that would create a water tight barrier. I dont know is that exists.

This is actually not a rarity, in some lines.

We bought them at Home Depot.
It was a cut to fit kit.
We glued them with liquid nails adhesive and caulked around the perimeters.

X2! Why would anybody buy something like this? You wouldn't accept in your home, so why is it okay in a RV?

Okay, I gotta ask....WHAT is an SOB? I know what my daddy said it was, but I think this must be different.

Some of you are getting excited over nothing. Our last trailer had no surround. We camped with it for 6 years and never had a problem.
