Red and Rover

Well, meet Red and Rover our F150 Lariat and our Wildwood X-Lite 241QBXL. We picked up the trailer yesterday and are spending time at Oakdale Park in Glen Rose, Texas. So far, so good. Been hanging TV, transferring all the household goods from the truck to the trailer and talking about all the little upgrades we want to do (like towel racks in the bathroom, hooks for hats, keys, gloves, etc.) Looking forward to the travels we have planned.

Welcome

Welcome to the RV life. I am sure you will have many years of enjoyment. We too have made some upgrades and plan many more. I don't know if you ever get finished with upgrades. It seems like every time my wife gets on the Internet she finds something else to do to the camper. Oh well, happy wife = happy life.

Smile Familiarization and Installation Cruise

Took Rover out on his first trip we called our "Familiarization and Installation Cruise." I'm a Coast Guard Vet. Picked it up from the dealer after the PDI and head about 15 miles from the house so we could quickly get anything we forgot (there was plenty). Everything went well. Some easier than others but hey, that's part of it. Only bummer was the day we left the campground it rained. I'd say we were baptized by fire but it was too wet for any fire. When we finally parked Rover in our storage facility we were soaked to the bone. But we did everything with minimal yelling at each other and have even laughed about it. In about a week we take Rover out on his "Shakedown Cruise." Then in June we take our "Maiden Voyage," a week long trip
