Sanitizing the water system

How many of you not sanitize your water system after the winter mixing with compressed air

huh?
Not sure what you are asking.

I haven't sanitized my water lines... yet... but I will do it next month before I go camping for the first time. I blow my lines out with compressed air in the fall.

Its quick/cheap/easy to do... seems like a no-brainer decision to me.

I blow out my lines for the winter. In spring I sanitize the FW tank and pump some into the lines. Then flush/drain FW tank. I flush out the lines at the first CG.

We hardly ever use our fresh water tank but thought after 4 years we should sanitize it and the lines. It was easy to do.

I have a 2004 that I bought used with no manuals or documentation. How do I find out the tank size so I can calculate the bleach ratio to sanitize. Thank!

Google the year and model of your RV and find the specs.

I do not necessarily recommend this but we have never sanitized the fresh water systems in our campers but we do not drink the water either as the campground we go to gives free sanitized water you bring you own container.

do you brush your teeth or wash the dishes with the water? There is still a concern for bacteria growth creating issues if you do.

We also do not drink the water... we bring a 5 gallon jug of water from home for drinking.

Yes, we do but not likely to be a problem with chlorinated water. Had no idea until joining this forum that you should sanitize the water system. No one told us and not too worried about it now.
