Size of holding tanks?

We bought a 28' 1997 Wildwood and we love it. But we cannot figure out the capacity of our holding tanks. We have two greys, one black, and a fresh water. The manual is absolutely useless!! Any one know?

No I don't and I don't know how to find out! It is a 28' bumper pull with a super slide out.

Until someone else comes by with more experience let me ask some questions to see what I am able to find out. It's a long shot but worth trying, if you don't mind.

How do you know if it's a 28' trailer? Did you see it listed somewhere like on the outside by the entry door? On my trailer there is a sticker there with the model information. There's also a white sticker on the driver side of the trailer that will have the information too. It can be a little hard to locate if you are not familiar with it.

With it being a older model the sticker might be inside a cabinet door in the kitchen.

Hmm, just put the trailer in storage today so can't look at the sticker. How do I know it is 28'? It was advertised as a 28' and we measured it. Had no reason to question it (until now!)

My unit is 20RBXL. Until recently I thought it was 20' but FR has it listed as something like 17' on the website. Some people measure the outside lenght while others will measure the outside + tongue & bumpers. Don't worry - I'm just trying to verify the 28'. I still working searching this for you so hopefully it won't take much longer unless I get bumped off the internet again.

many trailers have a number in its model number, that people assume means its length.
this is almost never true. my Roo 23SS is actually almost 25' long, not 23' long.

Sorry but I came up empty handed. As mentioned earlier there are members here with more experience that might be able to do some magic and locate the information for you.

I didn't find different models of Wildwood for 1997 but did find different sizes like 27', etc..

Does your unit have enclosed underbody? If not measure the tank for capacity.
Model number info may be located inside cuboard door inside unit.
Look at your bill of sale or insurance card for model number.

Trailer length's usually include the hitch. Mine is sold as 39ft., but when measured, the trailer itself is 36ft.

Well, the model number was no help, but I went underneath the trailer and found the manufacturer and model # of the tanks. The manufacturer is Inca Plastic Molding Co in Ontario, CA (about 40 miles from here!!) I called them and they gave me the details: Black tank is 40 gal, grey bathroom tank is 45 gal, and kitchen grey is 32 gal. Eureka!

Now I have to do some research on the model number.

Sorry that you had to crawl under the trailer to get the information.

I wonder if calling FR with the vin number would bring up the model. I don't know if it would or not...just thinking out loud.

I did call them and the trailer is too old and they don't have the specs. You know, if they made manuals with the specs in it, that would be really nice. We have the original manual. Lots of good that did! But... problem solved.
