Slide out Squeaking bad

On my wildwood 27rkss when I put the slide in, it makes a terrible squeaking sound for almost the whole time it's moving in. I've sprayed the rack and pinion underneath with slide out dry lube but maybe there's something else causing it. Any ideas? Maybe just more dry lube? It's definitely not emanating from the rubber seals around the edge so must be something underneath. Thanks all!

Did you spray the tracks that extend under the RV as well? That's probably where the noise is coming from if you didn't.

Good Call Bama - I sprayed the pinion and the rack that slides out with the slide, but didn't crawl under the rig to also spray that rack down. Will be giving it a dose of dry lube next time I get it ready to camp during Mem Day and will report back. Happy Camping!

Also check the slide blocks inside. On my Rockwood they replaced them at Goshen because of squeaking then a year later they removed them entirely saying they were not required. I would check to see if your has these and also with the division to see if they are even required.

Thanks B&B - these blocks, are they they plastic on each corner of the inboard edge? Maybe a little lube on them too? Weird thing is that this squeak started after say moving the slide in/out - dozen times or so. Prior to that it was quiet. I'm hoping it's a lube issue.

Apply "Aerospace 303" on all the Seals there are "Inside & Outside" seals be sure to Coat BOTH Sides of ALL Seals! Youroo!!

I too have a squeak that starts and stops when moving our large slide in/out, and the noise is definitely coming from under the main floor, so I'm guessing it's the tracks.
I haven't had a chance to look yet, but I'm betting they're covered by the underbelly skin
Maybe I can just apply some dry lube to rails when extended, and it might help.
Do folks recommend using silicone lube or dry lube ?

For sliding components it's best to use dry lube as it won't accumulate dirt and dust like wet lubes will.

Dry lube is what the manufacturer (Lippert), the factory and the dealer recommends.

CRC Power Lube with PTFE,,, is not a dry lube !!!

There are two different types of CRC power lube with PTFE. One is a liquid and the other is a dry lube, very hard to find the dry lube the wet power lube seems to be much more common.

Lots of 'dry' lubes go on wet.
The 'wet' is just a carrier/vehicle for the PTFE and evaporates quickly and becomes 'dry'.

But... be warned, there are lubes out there that do not dry.
Try on something else before you spray it all over your unit.

Are we talking about the CRC Power Lube that sells for around $100 a can ???

I think that the CRC power lube was about 12-14 dollars a can shipped to my door so not 100 dollars a can but the stuff is expensive. I saw some liquid wrench brand dry lube with PTFE in the Farm and Home store for about 6 bucks a can and I am thinking that is about the same stuff. So I may use that going forward, but the mfr (LCI) does state that the only approved product is the CRC power lube.

It's not clear to me when watching the video weather they are using wet or dry lube ??? I may have screwed up last year when I used a White Lithium Grease with PTFE ???

I saw some @ Wal-Mart.com that was $108,,, for 16 ozs !!!
