I noticed after our first outing that the TV mount I installed was coming out of the wall. When I ordered it from Amazon it didn't show up in time for the dealer to install it, so I did it myself. Using the sticker on the wall as a guide, I used my best guess and I thought the screws were hitting solid wood. After the install of the backer plate, the wall protruded outward about a quarter inch.
Long story short, the screws were coming out when we got to our first stop (about 8 hrs driving). The TV is a lightweight 24" dealio. Am I missing the studs in the wall, or whatever they put in there? When I retightened the wood screws they seem to go back into solid wood and the wall is no longer protruding.
I'm stumped.
