Unhappy Tongue Jack Repair

Could there possibly be an easy repair that we could do to our tongue jack. We've been having to jack it up ourselves for the last couple of trips. We bought our trailer last year in St. Louis and it's over 100 miles to their dealership and would rather not take it in if it's just something simple that we can do. Any possible ideas? TIA

For my R-Pod 171, the jack cost $50 at Amazon and it's a three bolt installation...

What RV do you have?
What is the make and model of the jack?

Have you checked for power getting to the jack? (i.e. fuses, etc.)

Tongue Jack Repair

We have the 2015 Forest River Wildwood Ultra Lite 261BHXL

I had not even thought of a fuse problem with the Jack. At the moment I'm not sure what brand it is. I've looked online for one that looks similar and it looks like it might be ARKSEN© Electric Power Tongue 12v. I've been trying to upload pics but for some reason that's not working either. I don't have very good internet service here out in the boonies. Where would the fuse be?

The fuse should be located near the battery. It's probably an inline type and may be covered by wire loom or hidden under the tongue.

It's possible. I've seen them with a regular automotive fuse and resettable breakers so it could be either.
