C'mon, Ron, you're an old-timer here. You're supposed to know these things!

Carnac the Magnificent (I just consulted him) says Matt has a Red F150, but couldn't tell if there's a factory tow package on it or not.

There's a wide "keyway" on both plug and socket. Make sure they match up.

Is there a adapter I plug into my truck so the trailer fits in...or do I have to replace the truck plug?

If the truck has a 7 pin receptacle and the trailer had a 7 blade plug, you don't need any adaptor. Just make sure the raised portion of the plug goes into the recessed slot on the truck receptacle and lift the lid and push it in til the lid(cover) latches over the plug.
