Ultra Lube Axles confusion

I have seen other threads on this topic, but none seemed to answer my questions.

According to the 2016 Wildwood/Heritage Glen literature my HG 272RLS is suppose to have Ultra Lube Axles. But, I do not have any grease zerk fittings on mine.

1. What does Ultra lube axles mean?
2. Are these axles suppose to be Lippert axles?
3. Are they suppose to be the same as the Dexter EZ-Lube axles?
4. I went to the Lippert web site and did not see anything called Ultra Lube. But, they did have something called Super Lube.

I am sure I will have more questions, but will start with the basics.

Thanks,

I believe 'Ultra Lube' axles were AL Co's brand of lube axles.

Have my TT at the dealer now for some other work. Asked them to find out about the missing grease zerks. Supposedly the Tech called Forest River Tech Support and was told that they are not suppose to have zerk fittings. Which made me start to wonder...what are Ultra Lube axles for then?

Looks like they call them: Ultrulube
Not sure if it suppose to be the same as Ultra Lube.

Did someone pull the rubber caps/plugs and look?
You can't see the zerk without removing the plug. Even then, it is often buried in the grease within.

Yes, I did. Was going to top off the grease in the axles. Pulled the center cap off the wheel and looked like a metal cap.

Now for the rest of the story....

Seems like there was some confusion at Forest River as to what type of axles were suppose to be on my TT. Customer Service says they are suppose to be Lippert Ultra Lube axles, while the Warranty department says they are suppose to be Dexter standard axles.

Had the dealer look at the axles on my TT and Dexter's it is.

Received an email from FR Customer support this AM...
"Mr. Smith
Apparently, the Ultra Lube/EZ-lube axles were a standard feature when the literature was first made and late in the production year they made a change to the standard features for the remaining part of the production year. With this in mind I cannot offer a change in the axles for they are no longer used."

So, it looks like they are now just using the standard Dexter axle. One of the selling points of me buying the TT was the Ultra Lube/EZ-Lube type axles. Guess I can take back the tubes of grease I bought to fill up the space in the spindles.

My guess is they ran out of one and substituted the other. They slap these things together with whatever parts they have on hand, hence the statements in all brochures that basically anything can change at any time.
