What's the purpose of these triangle flat bars welded to the frame?

Provides some protection to structures on bottom of trailer if you bottom out while moving on an uneven surface. Small wheels are used for the same reason.

They keep you from dragging your rear when you drive through a low place.

Those are to keep the back of your unit from dragging on the ground/road in a dip or low spot.
Some owners replace them with rolling wheels like this.

Gotcha guys thanks. Seems a little light weight for skid protection but i guess it will save it once or twice before they break off.

That's generally why the wheels get put on.

I think they are more like the wear indicators on your brake pads... they are there to make a bunch of noise and tell you its time to pay attention.
They are NOT there to hold the camper weight.
If you "get into them" you will bend them... just bend them back and they will keep serving their purpose of indicating to you that you just ran out of ground clearance.

Correct.
And we've seen several reports where those that welded wheels on in place of the skids (or beefed up the skids) so they didn't crush, bend or break off, wound up bending the frame elsewhere.
Be careful.

that was definitely my worry when I saw someone suggest putting wheels there... but I haven't seen the reports of frame damage so I didn't want to put in my conjecture. (not saying I don't believe you, just I haven't read it myself... I definitely believe you)
If you add wheels, and you transfer the weight to those wheels... then you could theoretically be supporting the camper by the rear of the frame and the tongue. This would grossly overload your tow vehicle as well as the camper frame!

I think that's why they are called sacrificial skid bars. Better them than your rear end.
