Our 2018 Wildwood 197XLBH had the left side brake lock up and then caused the unit to be unusable. We called the Forestriver roadside assistance number and they arranged with a local dealer to tow it back to their facility for repair.

The dealer said it will be repaired within a four week period. He stated he would let me know about what the warranty claim will cover.

I have called Forestriver numerous times and have not had a return call. Their website will not allow emails to be sent.

The roadside assistance technician told me that I would be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred (hotel and meals) due to the mechanical breakdown under the warranty!

My question is how can I get this process started? How do I get in touch with anyone at the factory in Elkhart?

Have you tired talking to the dealer other then your initial time. Maybe they can get the factory to respond.

My unit has Forward adjusting brakes... Use them 'too' much and they will lock up on you from adjusting too tight.... Every year, I am backing the brake pads off of the hubs.

Everyone should check your brakes and adjust them (off) when needed... Go on One very long trip and a lot of heavy brake usage and I will (almost) guarantee you that your brakes are 'set' too tight on your unit.

I don't think you need to contact the Wildwood factory nor Forest River (as in the big corporation) but the service/warranty department for your class of trailer. Go to Forest River RV Contact Us - Forest River, Inc. and find your class of trailer (I don't what a 197XLBH or I'd give you the pointer). Find the contact for your unit's service department. For example:

Heritage Glen Hyper-Lyte

Service
