Where is outside cable hookup

we recently purchased the 2013 Wildwood Xtra Lite 19 and a half foot camper. We cannot find an outside cable hookup but there is an inside plate with a hook up that has a green light. How do you hook up Campground cable to this RV? Am I missing where the cable hookup is. Thank you so much I appreciate any answers.

That one on the inside is for use with the antenna. Push the button to turn on the Booster but turn it OFF for use with cable. Does it have two cable connect fittings on it, or only one? There is usually two fittings, one of which connects to a similar fitting outside to connect cable. If you have only one fitting inside you may not have a cable connection outside.

No outside cable hookup

I know that there is no cable hookup outside the camper. There is only the panel inside that has the little green light. so apparently we can't hook up to Cable outside. Can we still hook up to Campground cable by running a cable wire inside through a window and hooking up to that little panel?

No.

If you don't have an outside cable hook-up then you would need to run the cable coax in through a window/door/compartment or by some other means and hook that to your TV.

There are some units where they only have the roof-top antenna. The button on the wall plate turns on the booster for the roof-top antenna. The wire from the roof-top antenna connects to the back of the wall plate (inside the wall) and your TV connects to the front of the plate next to the push button switch.

Trying to connect your cable coax (that you bring in the window) to the front of the wall plate, will serve no purpose other than trying to push the cable signal toward your antenna.

Don't forget to select the appropriate input and do a channel scan on the TV, whether using the roof-top antenna or cable.

Well thank you so much for all of the information. I certainly appreciate it. This is the first camper we have bought that did not have an outside cable hookup. We will have to use and alternate option for viewing television if we do not receive adequate reception from the television in the area we are located. Again, thank you, I certainly appreciate the information from other camping enthusiasts😎😎😎

Try looking on the inside compartment where the outdoor shower is located. That's where it was in our Sabre 2010 & 2015.

Cable Hook Up

Our 2014 Wildwood has 2 outside cable connections on the street side above the mid-trailer sewer connection. One is for RV Park hook ups and one is for your own dish hook up.

I have a different model, but it's on the wall inside the compartment where electric and sewer is. It is up kind of high on the wall, if it wasn't for a cap on it hanging loose, I would still be looking for it.

As long as you have a way to run the cable into the trailer it will still be a good option when cable TV is available. Just connect direct to tv as 5picker described.

Ours is on the curb side of the trailer right next to the shore power connection.
