Whirlpool Residential Refrigerator Mod

So one thing that really drove me nuts is that the Residential Fridge i upgraded to lacked a freezer shelf. Other then the little thing youll see over my ice trays. I contacted Forest River and Whirlpool. I thought FR forgot to ship it, and the Whirlpool confirmed the model i have and all units in my size range dont ship or have one. Whats funny is the freezer has molded shelf lips for such a thing.

Wife and i went to HD and bought the shortest section of 12 Inch wire shelf we could get and cut it to size. See photos. I will gladly make one for anyone for a small cost.

Would you happen to know the model number. I would like to change mine to a residential type for the power consumption. We are on a permanent spot and the power usage is high on the dometic fridge. Thx for any info.

Fridge

I will pull the model off my unit this weekend, when i am up at the campground. As for doing this project. My TT has a dual battery system to support the Residential Fridge and a 1000W Power invert-er. THe unit also has mounting brackets built to secure it into the coach.

Just replaced my Mom's Dometic fridge in her trailer with one of these. Fit very nicely and working well.

Do you happen to remember what she had before. I think ours is the 6 cubic ft one. It's a 2016 27rkss. Thx for the reply too. I'll look at that specs on that link when I settle down for the night.
