I tow our Surveyor SP280 with an 07 F150, 4.6L. Does very well except for the steeper uphills on the highway, and then it labors a bit to maintain 55+. But other than that, it does just fine. Unfortunately, we had the truck before the trailer, and with 2 kids in college an upgrade is not in the budget right now.

Interested to see how the eco-boost engines do long term.

Add us to the list of those who tow with an F150. Ours is a '12 F150 XLT Screw 4x4 with Ecoboost and maxtow. Love this truck!

I have 04 FX4 with 3.55 axle 5.4 with a K&N cool air intake. I pull a 2012 28ft XLR Nitro toyhauler. I haul a Golf cart, Honda Rubicon ATV and a dirt bike. I also use the 4way equalizer hitch rated for 12000lbs. It pulls it just fine.

new truck and tt - have been looking for a public scales - if they're around they sure don't advertise

driving up the fwy to check-out Huntsville State Park (for a few nights later this month) we stopped at a Texas DOT commercial weigh station - closed (aren't they always ?) and spoke with the 1 fellow there. he put us on to a public scales, located at the Pilot Travel Center, exit 118, Huntsville, Tx

drove on up there, got their procedures "poop" and will swing by there on the way to the SP set-up

so, if you re-post your question in about 1 1/2 weeks you can count me as "1" to satisify your curiousity.....Bill

flat freeway towing home but didn't know I was hooked up, 'cept when I checked the mirrors - Wife brought home a 22" digital tv - got that up and running today (along with a few little things that needed to be done) - now will design a mod for mounting the tv (thinking of a swiveling mount/bracket so as to "aim" at the bed or the livingroom/kitchen/breakfast room) - will post if I come up with something good
Nice looking combo if I say so myself. Don't you love how easily that truck pulls that trailer?!!!
