We have a 2011 F-150 with the EcoBoost. It pulls our Ultra Light Palomino 829vfks like a champ! Our longest trip so far was from eastern VA to mid Ohio. No problem over mountains!

I have a 2010 S-Crew 4x4 with the 5.4 pulling a 33' Salem. TT weighs about 7000# and the truck does a helluva job.

I have a 2011 F150 crew with a 6.2 pulling a fully loaded Sterling 30RL. (9,000+) It can pass any big rig on the road. Mileage between 6.5 and 9 mpg depending on wind direction. Handling and stability excellent. The Ecoboost was not available when I ordered the truck, but not sure I would want to switch now.

We tow a 2012 Shamrock 23SS with our 2010 F150 Supercrew XTR 4X4 4.6L. No problems so far, and we are leaving soon for a 2 month trip across the continent from Montreal to LA, then up the Pacific coast to Seattle and back home through Montana and the Dakotas.

My F150 handled the Surveyor SV264 very well. The delivered weight of the TT is about 5300 lbs and the dealer filled the 2 30lb propane tanks.
The combo felt very much like the 2006 Ranger and large Popup that we had.
I was very nervous at first but was able to relax after just a few miles.
We had some cross/tail winds on the way home and the truck did get a little bit of the cart pushing the horse feeling.
I'll be installing my ProPride hitch before too long and I am really looking forward to that.

Nice set up there dretired,
I have a 09 F150 XLT 4x4 (3.55 gear,) with the 5.4, towing a 08 wildcat 29rlbs , I have a set of 5k airbags that I will be installing in a week or so.
How does your Ford handle the 5th wheel? Are you getting and "sag" in the rear?
Thank you
Bruce

Sharp truck. You buy it with the rims and tires on it or add them?

11 Ecoboost regular 4x4
Just replaced the drop in K&N filter with the Arrid cold air intake system. Increased fuel economy by 2 liters per 100 kms both highway and city so far. Boosted HP as well

Have been towing my 28' V-Cross with a 07 F150 5.4 and it towed it very well. Just upgraded to a 2012 F150 ecoboost. Have not towed with it yet. Getting my 1000 mile break in period in. Can't wait to pull with it. Have heard a lot of good things about it.

Towing the new 29bhxl with my 05 Screw stock with max tow 3.73 rear 5.4 engine. Compared to the trail lite that was half the weight, Transmission temp and fuel seems about the same. We are traveling from Chicago to DC in a few weeks and I have no worries about the truck.

I tow a 27ft Wildwood fifth wheel with a 2006 F-150. It has a bigger differential or something that makes it tow more weight. Otherwise everything is the same. We do okay except when we have to go a high mountain in a hurry. Then, it strains and slows down to about 40 mph. Total weight of the rig is about 8,000 lbs.

Our 2011 F 150 is very well equipped (11,300 towing capacity). We have now towed our Sterling 30RL over 10,000 miles in all kinds of weather and terrain. The six speed transmission, sway control and 6.2 make all the difference. The 6.2 is also used in the F 250 and larger trucks. We keep the total loaded weight under 10,000 and enjoy the comfort of a less stiff ride of heavier trucks.
